| Kris moved here from New Hampshire in 2000 to join our elite Lateral Stress Velo (LSV) road team, and he's been riding for us ever since. Kris is an accomplished climber with top finishes at the Mt. Washington Hill Climb (7th, 4th, 6th). He was ranked 9th nationally in 'cross and is now putting his knowledge to work for us and other riders through his professional training service, ADG. I had been trying to get Kris to work at Joe's Bike Shop for a couple of years and finally nabbed him. He is excellent at fitting people to their bikes, and his addition to our staff has made us a true pro shop. Kris is a Trek man with a Trek OCLV road bike, a Trek Carbon Fuel and Trek XO1 cross bikes rounding out his preferred ride list. |
| I can't say enough about John. He's the only employee I kept from the old ownership of the Mt. Washington Bike Shop and boy am I glad I did. He's a graduate of Barnett's Bicycle Institute, and has five years experience wrenching under his belt. But John's greatest asset is that he is the master of efficiency that keeps our shop running like clockwork. He constantly refines our work processes and makes sure the lines of communication between employees remains open. He is the most respected employee of the shop. John rides mountain, road and BMX, and he knows all the cool roads and secret trails through Baldwin and Kingsville. He says he'll never race, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a competitive streak whenever we go for shop rides or when pride is on the line at the Trek hoops contest in Wisconsin. I'd tell you John and I were tied when they finally pulled us off the game, but I'd be lying. Horton now has a new son, Adam, with his wife Jen. We hoped it would mellow him out, but so far it's just made him more playful-sheesh! He has a Trek 5900, a Trek Liquid Fuel 30 and a Standard STAR. |
